Welcome! I’m McKena Johnson! — though my dearest friends call me “kena”. I recently graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2026 and now proudly get to call the great city of Dallas, TX home.

My love for photo & film started when I was 10 years old when I received a Nikon Coolpix digital camera for Christmas. Capturing the in-between moments always came naturally to me, but it wasn’t until college that I learned how to truly pursue it. During my sophomore year, a dear friend — who is now like a mentor — encouraged me to buy a camera and simply give it my best shot. That small step would transform everything

Now, one of my greatest joys is capturing moments and memories that deserve to be relived for years to come, and it’s such an honor to preserve them through photo and film.

More than anything, though, I believe the LORD is the ultimate Creator, Artist, and Author of every beautiful story. It’s been such
a gift to witness how He can use photography and videography as a
medium to reflect His love, mercy and faithfulness in people’s lives.
I never want to take for granted the honor of being a small part of telling those stories and displaying the Father’s love through
the work I create.
